This is a Full-Time career opportunity available to join the HKNC team as a Rehabilitation Counselor in our Case Management Department. The Rehabilitation Counselor is responsible for serving as an advisor to each participant throughout their participation in the program at HKNC. The Rehabilitation Counselor acts as advocate, resource and coach by empowering consumers through supports and challenges to maximize consumer input and responsibility to their training program for achieving their vocational and independent living outcomes, and personal futures plan. Acts as primary liaison with state vocational rehabilitation counselors and consumer for ensuring HKNC services are aligned with the consumer’s abilities, talents, future opportunities and aspirations. This is an in-person position based out of our Training Building in Sands Point, NY.
