About The Position

The Rehabilitation Counselor will provide instruction regarding the career services curriculum, vocational interest inventories, job development, and career development training. This includes resume and portfolio building, interview training, and other skills related to student and customer career skills and outcomes. This position is approximately 30-35 hours per week in a school district, with additional hours for ACCES-VR Customers. The salary range is $35.00 - $38.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

Masters in CRC Rehabilitation Counseling and Certified.
Must have at least 1 year working with individuals with disabilities
Experience Human Service Professional.

Responsibilities

Provide students/customers with a positive environment and effective counseling to assist them in achieving their career and community goals.
Enable students/customers to be able to perform effectively in community based worksites using the self-direction and other CEO instructional formats.
Develop job opportunities for students and work with our Department of Labor programs to develop businesses to engage with our students and adults.
Work with student/customer’s families to ensure that they are active participants in the employment process.
Effectively able to utilize and modify the CEO curriculum “Career Services for people in special education and beyond.
Provide information and goal activity for any CSE or ACCES-VR planning meeting.
Assist in the transition and notification of all graduating senior and their linkages to ACCES-VR.
Ensure all student scheduling reports and district activities are submitted on time and accurate using our Transmetrics database system.
Ensure documentation regarding activities that are planned have been implemented and reflect the documentation submitted.
Prepare and report on and implement transition documents and outcomes for all students. (career plans, employability profiles, etc.)
