About The Position

Kindred Hospital – Chattanooga is a 49-bed long term acute care hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a rehabilitation coordinator (PT) joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier®. This role involves performing accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations and treatments, providing training, direction, and guidance for subordinate rehab staff, and writing accurate, complete, and clear documentation. The coordinator ensures the timely evaluation and treatment of patients efficiently, oversees risk management operations for the Rehab department, and conducts in-service programs and trains Rehab/facility staff. They also demonstrate appropriate utilization of resources, including accurate billing for services, and perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Degree in rehabilitation, healthcare or a related field required
• Valid and current clinical license (PT) or equivalent, in the state(s) where services are rendered
• Current CPR certification, if required
• Current driver’s license, if required by facility

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years experience in rehabilitation or in a long-term care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations and treatments
• Provides training, direction and guidance for subordinate rehab staff
• Writes accurate, complete and clear documentation
• Ensures the timely evaluation and treatment of patients in the most effective and efficient manner possible
• Oversees risk management operations for the Rehab department in the facility
• Conducts in-service programs and trains Rehab/facility staff
• Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources including billing accurately for services provided
• Performs other tasks as assigned
