About The Position

WorkFocus Australia is seeking an allied health professional to join its multidisciplinary team as a Rehabilitation Consultant. The role supports injured employees to regain independence and achieve goals in life and work. It involves conducting assessments, identifying barriers to return to work, and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that help clients return to the workforce. The consultant works with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve appropriate outcomes and progress cases toward return-to-work benchmarks.

Requirements

• Australian-recognised degree qualification and full accreditation in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy.
• Willingness to travel; a current vehicle and driver’s licence are required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service.
• A keen sense of punctuality and effective time-management ability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and identify barriers to return to work.
• Undertake activities-of-daily-living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, and equipment assessments.
• Identify return-to-work barriers.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties.
• Develop and implement strategies to progress files and achieve return-to-work benchmarks while minimising case costs.
• Design, implement, and monitor programs that assist injured employees to return to the workforce.
