About The Position

The position of QMHP-CS (Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Service) is a direct care position with the expectation that at least 50% of his/her work time is spent face to face with the individuals that MHMR of Tarrant County serves. The position has specializations that include functioning as a Rehabilitative Case Manager (RCM, RCM-I) or a Clinical Coordinator (CC). A QMHP-CS functions as a part of the treatment team in the clinic to which he/she is assigned, and provides assessment, recovery planning, and ongoing treatment in order to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to gain the skills, resources, and supports necessary to attain their individualized recovery goals. Services may be provided in the clinic or in the community. The specific job function designation (RCM, RCM-I, CC) determines what percentage of time the QMHP spends in the clinic or the community. Providing services in the community entails travel (often in the QMHP’s own vehicle) and work throughout Tarrant County, in a variety of neighborhood and home conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health or Human Services (Acceptable Degrees Include: Applied Behavior Analysis, Child Development, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Intervention, Education Psychology, Gerontology, Human Growth and Development, Medicine, Nursing, Physician Assistant, Psychology, Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation & Rehab Studies, Social Work, Sociology, and Special Education).
  • OR Bachelor's degree with at least 30 hours of behavioral health coursework.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) certification.
  • Must provide license (if applicable) and official documentation of all educational attainment (e.g., Transcript/Degree/Certificate).
  • Must be able to lift 55 Pounds.
  • Must participate in pre-employment tests including drug and TB Screening, Physical Exam including balance and lift test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience functioning as a Rehabilitative Case Manager (RCM, RCM-I) or a Clinical Coordinator (CC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, recovery planning, and ongoing treatment to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Spend at least 50% of work time face to face with clients.
  • Provide services in the clinic or in the community.
  • Travel throughout Tarrant County for community-based services.
  • Participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs.
  • May be assigned as key/essential staff during critical events or for business continuity.
  • May require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility.
  • Adhere to agency dress code.
  • Maintain physical on-site presence, regular attendance, and punctuality.
