About The Position

As a member of the direct care team, this role leads coop students/exercise science students in collaboration with administrative assistants. The position assists with coop students/undergraduate exercise science student orientation and ongoing training. It makes recommendations to management regarding the coop/undergraduate student orientation program and workflow. The Rehabilitation Aide is responsible for overseeing the flow of daily operations that support clinical practice. This position does require patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study required
• Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of infection control.
• Understands proper functioning of equipment and its basic maintenance.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Proficient with Microsoft office applications.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

• Previous aide/tech experience 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and established therapeutic exercise programs.
• Prepares patient and treatment area for treatment.
• Creates/collates/copies educational materials for patients.
• Performs registration and scheduling for Team as required.
• Escorts patient to treatment area.
• Orders equipment and supplies from vendors.
• Arranges equipment repair/service with vendors and biomedical engineering.
• Maintains treatment areas, equipment storage areas, waiting areas.
