About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Rehabilitation Aide at the Rincon, GA location. The role involves assisting clinicians with patient treatments, managing supplies, ensuring paperwork is complete and organized, and contributing to compliance and safety tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of State Practice Act Regulations for therapy assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients from check-in to the treatment area, assist with treatment setup, and guide patients to check-out.
  • Complete supply inventory and ordering.
  • Assist Therapist or Therapist Assistant with treatment per State Practice Act Regulations.
  • Confirm registration and required paperwork is signed and tracked.
  • Scan and label paperwork as needed.
  • Assist management with compliance and risk management tasks, including expiration date checks, SDS updates, and equipment safety checks.
  • Assist with student and volunteer paperwork and orientation.
  • Perform modality temperature checks and modality cleaning.
  • Clean and prepare patient treatment areas, including handling soiled linen and biohazard material.
  • Assist with department activities and projects as needed.
  • Initiate and follow through with regular communication with appropriate medical staff, patients, Optim team members, and management.
  • Follow Optim Orthopedics and Optim Therapy’s practice policies and processes related to compliance, safety, and infection control.
  • Perform necessary tasks as needed and assigned to ensure clinic and department compliance and satisfactory patient care.
  • Demonstrate a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
