About The Position

Responsible for providing assistance to clinicians for performing routine exercises or follow-up of functional activities (direct patient care) under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant as well as maintaining departmental equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition. This role is suitable for candidates wishing to gain hospital experience for application to MD/PA/RN degree programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task as needed.
• Good bedside manner.
• Good physical strength and stamina for active role in busy clinical environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as a Rehab Aide 0-1 year preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for treatment by therapist.
• Assists therapists during therapy, as needed.
• Attends and actively participates in team meetings.
• Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
• Serves as Clinical Chaperone to Sensitive Exams, per policy, as needed.
• Supports clerical front desk functions as needed.
• Completes departmental tasks as assigned.
