About The Position
NHC HealthCare North Augusta is seeking a Rehab Transporter to join their team. This role involves transporting patients to and from the therapy gym, assisting with ADL care, obtaining vital signs, and supporting therapists. The ideal candidate will have a heart for geriatric patients and share NHC's values of honesty and integrity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to push, pull, lift
- Experience in healthcare setting REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- CMA or CNA preferred
Responsibilities
- Transport patients to and from therapy gym
- Perform Patient ADL care when needed
- Obtain vital signs and assist with patient therapy treatment as needed
- Supporting Therapists and therapy assistants in providing physical, occupational, and speech therapy in an inpatient environment
- Verifying daily therapy schedules
- Chart audits
- Complete assigned duties as instructed.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and professional work area.
- Assist in maintaining safe and properly functioning equipment.
- Communicate accurate information in written or verbal format.
- Inventory and ordering of supplies
