The Rehabilitation Therapist Clinical Specialist (RTCS), in addition to performing the similar job duties of a staff therapist, performs specialized rehabilitation job duties related to the treatment, service/clinical procedure development, marketing, research, staff training and education of patients/stakeholders in their designated specialist field. A RTCS is a clinical leader in their specialist rehabilitation field and is required to gain and maintain extensive knowledge, training and designated external certification in their specialist field.   • Performing specialized rehabilitation job duties related to research.
  • Performing specialized rehabilitation job duties related to staff training and education of patients/stakeholders in their designated specialist field.
  • Acting as a clinical leader in their specialist rehabilitation field.
  • Gaining and maintaining extensive knowledge, training, and designated external certification in their specialist field.
  • Adhering to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
