About The Position

ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC is seeking an energetic Rehab Tech to join their outpatient team in Evansville, IN. This position is responsible for contributing to a safe, motivating, and organized clinical environment for clients and the professional therapy team. It offers an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge and gain experience in a clinical setting within a growing, progressive, supportive, and innovative organization. This is a PRN opportunity.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or ability to obtain it before the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
Ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.)

Responsibilities

Assisting with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease
Monitoring the clinic’s patients and supporting the therapist with treatment needs – facilitate a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service
Assisting in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep
Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed
Continually clean and organize treatment areas and equipment
Prepare patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens
Inventory of supplies and equipment
Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift
Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers
