About The Position

ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC is seeking an energetic Rehab Tech to join their outpatient team in Evansville, IN. This position is responsible for contributing to a safe, motivating, and organized clinical environment for clients and the professional therapy team. It offers an excellent opportunity to expand knowledge and gain experience in a clinical setting within a growing, progressive, supportive, and innovative organization. This is a PRN opportunity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Background or interest in physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science, or physiology
  • CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or ability to obtain it before the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
  • Ability to lift, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • High degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries and/or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disease
  • Monitoring the clinic’s patients and supporting the therapist with treatment needs – facilitate a convenient and safe environment while providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting in front office tasks which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, supporting registration, data entry, filing, and patient record upkeep
  • Safeguarding and escorting patients from one location to another, if needed
  • Continually clean and organize treatment areas and equipment
  • Prepare patients, treatment areas, equipment, and supplies such as fitness equipment and linens
  • Inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Cleaning work areas and equipment before, during, and after shift
  • Facilitating an efficient environment for coworkers
