About The Position

The Rehabilitation Supervisor supervises mentally and/or physically handicapped adults in the facility and community-based settings. This role involves directly supervising clients, acting as a working supervisor, instructing and training clients, setting up workstations, performing work inspections, providing personal care, offering job coaching, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• A minimum of one year of previous experience working with individuals with physical, emotional, and/or social disabilities
• Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Successful completion of a criminal and caregiver background check
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
• Adaptable to varying work environments
• Ability to supervise disabled clients
• Accuracy in maintaining work-related documents
• Ability to demonstrate work procedures
• Knowledge of safe work practices

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely use tools/equipment associated with all work programs such as lawn mowers, woodworking saws, pneumatic nail/staple tools, commercial cooking stoves, meat slicers, etc

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals and act as a working supervisor in all areas of the department
• Instruct/train clients by demonstrating and/or explaining duties and procedures
• Set up workstations and/or provide adaptive measures for clients
• Coordinate/stage raw materials for projects
• Perform work inspections for quality and completeness
• Provide personal care such as feeding, lifting, and toileting as needed
• Provide job coaching and appropriate documentation/feedback
• Accurately maintain work-related performance documentation of clients
