Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional program
  • Licensed by the State of Florida
  • Demonstrates competence in assigned area.
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to relate well with all customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value, and service.
  • Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
  • Demonstrates ability to conduct meetings and speak in front of groups.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health Care Administration, including care trends and reimbursement issues.
  • Throughout professional career, has demonstrated desire for professional growth by project/program participation and attendance at educational programs.
  • Knowledge and use of proper lifting and body mechanics.
  • Must be able to assist in lifting, standing, and supporting patients.
  • Able to bend and stoop as patient care requires.

  • The Rehabilitative Services position requires the individual to perform lifting tasks in the following weight and frequencies: Lbs. 0-20 21-40 more than 40 % of the Day 34-66 1-33 1-33 Reps/Day 33-200 1-32 1-32

Responsibilities

  • Provides for staff development through mentoring, continuing education, advancement of responsibilities and peer education as appropriate.
  • Achieves scores on the Gallup associate opinion survey reflecting either the top quartile as compared to the Gallup database or above the mean score of the Health First overall aggregate.
  • Performs annual performance reviews of all staff members and submits documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participates in identifying and defining opportunities for improving departmental performance, educating staff with regard to such opportunities, and gathering data for monitoring progress.
  • Promotes the Rehab Services department and personal professional development by involvement in hospital, committee, professional association and/or community activities.
  • Identifies, mediates and resolves disciplinary issues involving either individual staff members or work groups.
  • Provides a forum for information distribution, discussion and feedback by organizing and conducting staff meetings on a regular basis with an established agenda.
  • Participates in direct patient care as determined by clinic demand and availability.
  • Collaborates with other managers/supervisors to identify and resolve problems, coordinate staffing and maximize departmental effectiveness.
  • Contributes to the development of annual budget for area, and achieves financial performance with volume adjusted budget.
