Requirements

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or current high school senior and 18 years of age required.
• Acceptance/attendance at a post-secondary educational institution in a health related/science field required.
• BLS certification or achievement within thirty (30) days of employment required.
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

• PT, OT, Speech, or Rehab field preferred.
• Students looking to enter Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists fields.

Responsibilities

• Observes and assists Therapists with patient care throughout treatment program.
• Assists Therapists in use and care of machinery and equipment.
• Assists for safety purpose with transfers, transport, treatment preparation, and ambulation of patients under direct supervision of Rehabilitation Therapists (OT, PT, Speech).
• Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly working area.
• Maintains state of the art knowledge of discipline specific skills, techniques, and job-related duties and responsibilities.
• Attends continuing education courses, workshops, and seminars ae required.
