About The Position
This position performs all tasks related to office operations including patient scheduling and registration of outpatients in an efficient, accurate and hospitable manner to ensure that patient, physician, and hospital needs are met. - Patient scheduling and registration of outpatients
- Insurance authorization
- Chart preparation
- Faxing
- Filing
- Managing the phones
- Setting up recurring visits for patients
- Overseeing prescription management
- Monitoring patient visit activity and purging inactive accounts
- Following up on incomplete patient referrals
- Conversing with workers comp adjusters and insurance representatives to assure revenue cycle protection
- Recurring account oversight
- Medicare Cap Management for Medicare patients
- Insurance Verification
- Ability to work in multiple clinic and office settings in a very high paced environment, changing operation functions and work responsibilities daily
- Engages in performance improvement activities as needed
- Serves as a communication facilitator for area of responsibility
