About The Position
The Rehabilitation Aide helps prepare patients and treatment environments and assists therapists with treatment under the direct supervision of a licensed therapy professional. The role may work in acute care, acute rehabilitation, skilled facility, and outpatient settings as appropriate. The position is per diem and is based at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehab, Tabor Road.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- CPR certification required.
- 0–2 years of experience; 1 year preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson’s values.
- Perform patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed therapy professional, following departmental policies and procedures and applicable state practice guidelines.
- Transport patients to treatment areas and ensure timely arrival for therapy appointments.
- Keep equipment and treatment areas clean, properly stored, and ready for use according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform clerical duties as directed by staff and supervisors to support smooth daily operations.
- Supervise exercise programs, lead group exercises, document attendance and fees paid, and demonstrate knowledge of participant-specific safety needs.
- Use basic computer skills for tasks such as scheduling, transporter lists, billing, setting up new patients, and administering surveys.
- Communicate impressions and objective information clearly and promptly to therapists, supervisors, and others as directed to support coordination and outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
