About The Position

The Regulatory Technologist is responsible for supporting and maintaining Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) certification compliance across product lines. This role ensures products meet required performance standards for air, water, structural, and impact criteria while supporting regulatory compliance strategy, certification lifecycle management, and cross-functional product development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 0–5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, product certification, or engineering support
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product testing

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain WDMA Hallmark Certification for assigned product lines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards
  • Support certification renewals in accordance with certification cycles and updated standards
  • Understand all types of performance specifications and standards
  • Support development and execution of test plans for new or modified products
  • Review and interpret third-party test reports for WDMA certification eligibility and compliance validation
  • Maintain accurate certification documentation, test data, and audit records
  • Partner with key members of product design teams to ensure regulatory requirements are incorporated early in product development
  • Evaluate design changes and new product schedules for certification impact.
  • Provide technical guidance on WDMA standards and test requirements
  • Manage certification and related data in internal systems and external databases
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability across systems
  • Support data strategy including classification logic and complexity management
  • Support internal audits and plant audits conducted regularly as part of the certification program
  • Ensure manufacturing quality and process aligns with certified product specifications
  • Support corrective actions and improvement initiatives related to audit findings
  • Collaborate with regulatory, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and external partners to maintain certification compliance
  • Participate in WDMA committees, task groups, or industry discussions as needed
  • Communicate certification status, risks, and updates to stakeholders
