The Division of Drugs, Devices, and Cosmetics (DDC) regulates, under the provisions of the Florida Drug and Cosmetic Act (Chapter 499, F.S.), the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of drugs, medical gases, and cosmetics in the State of Florida by licensing, registering, inspecting, and investigating. The Program carries out its responsibilities through three bureaus: Compliance & Enforcement, Licensing, and Legal. The dynamic individual interested in joining a dynamic team must be highly motivated and possess excellent technical skills to review, evaluate, and process complex initial and renewal applications from persons seeking licensure under the Florida Drug and Cosmetic Act. The incumbent in this position is required to understand and interpret statutes, rules, and regulations. Detailed research is required to respond to inquiries from individuals or groups concerning applications, licenses, regulations, and licensure status. Must be able to independently exercise professional judgment when providing licensure and regulatory information to licensees, applicants, and consumers. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
