About The Position

VGW is seeking a Regulatory Counsel in the USA to join their Legal team. This role involves advising the business on gaming and government affairs regulations, providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance, and managing legal risks. The position requires providing expert legal advice on US gaming laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, advising on government affairs activities with a focus on compliance with lobbying, ethics, and campaign finance laws, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership by offering clear and practical guidance on complex regulatory and legal affairs matters, and drafting and maintaining internal legal guidelines related to regulatory compliance.

Requirements

At least 8+ years post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house, within gaming or other highly regulated industry.
An active bar membership.
Significant experience advising government affairs teams and working with U.S. regulators on licensing and enforcement processes.
Strong risk management skills and high commercial acumen to understand business drivers.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and simplify complex legal concepts.
The ability to work independently across different jurisdictions and time zones while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
