About The Position

A critical role ensuring the safety, legality, and efficiency of the Mon EMS agency. Oversee non-clinical operations, including regulatory, privacy standards & compliance for organizational safety requirements, fleet, inventory & supply management and facilities maintenance in alignment with federal and state compliance/licensure requirements. Provide business analytics, management of vendor relationships, and support for operational innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Operations, or Business Administration.
  • EMT Licensed clinical provider.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in Emergency Medical Services, Healthcare or Operations.
  • Advanced understanding of EMS-specific laws and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in business, management, healthcare, operations or related field.
  • Paramedic Licensed clinical provider.
  • Five (5) years in a Healthcare and/or Emergency Services Administration or Operations field.
  • Experience in conducting compliance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Identify compliance issues/violations through performance of audits, investigations, inspections and assessments to provide appropriate resolution, risk mitigation and ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor and implement changes in EMS regulations, such as WV EMS Regulations to include related equipment lists and recommend policy and training updates to remain compliant.
  • Provide input and recommendations into the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, and coordinate with public health and safety agencies as required.
  • Support compliance with safety and risk management standards related to EMS, to include serving as the Safety Committee chair and leading monthly safety hazard audits.
  • Oversee Bio Med maintenance, grant and policy management and mutual aid agreements, including managing vendor relationships for equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Develop a system of data collection and analysis to assess risk and provide resolution of operational problems.
  • Maintain ownership of vendor relationships, asset management/tracking and insurance policies, to include proactively seeking out new vendor partnerships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery, asset reporting to insurance agencies and managing insurance claims & renewals.
  • Work closely and transparently with all external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies through providing regulatory and compliance guidance for agency compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee logistics, fleet, and facility maintenance, related to regulatory compliance and state licensure requirements, such as vehicle title and licensure, etc.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, as required.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Recommend and provide training and education to employees on compliance-related topics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Advise senior management on compliance matters and potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in compliance.
  • Participate in compliance-related meetings as required.
  • Serve as the HIPPA Privacy officer for the agency.
