About The Position

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, this person will issue Airworthiness Approvals (8130-3) for distributed products and serve as an ODA Unit Member as required. This role involves performing conformity inspections in support of Wencor ODA. The specialist may also undertake other activities as authorized by the Director of Quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience with Aerospace Regulatory Compliance, or equivalent combination of experience/education.
• Must qualify to the requirements for a DAR as listed in FAA Order 8100.8.
• Must be FAA-DAR certified with appropriate function codes for Domestic and Export Airworthiness Approvals and Conformity Inspections as required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

• Airworthiness Approval tasks may require the person to stay until the last delivery truck arrives and occasionally support AOG orders after hours.
• Maintain up to date FAA required training to support Wencor DAR-F required function codes.

Responsibilities

• Issue Airworthiness Approvals in accordance with FAA regulations and guidance as a DAR-F.
• Perform ODA Unit Member duties as described by the ODA Administrator.
• Conduct conformity inspections in support of ODA.
• Train and oversee Quality personnel upon request and as authorized by the Director of Quality.
• Function in the role of ODA Administrator during the absence of the ODA Administrator when authorized.
