About The Position

As Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring Arc’teryx raw materials and finished goods meet global regulatory, safety, performance, and sustainability standards. You help operationalize regulatory frameworks and support cross‑functional teams to ensure our compliance practices are current, accurate, and actionable. Your work helps safeguard consumer safety, reduce legal and operational risk, and ensure Arc’teryx remains compliant as regulations evolve across global markets. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. The Compliance team works cross-functionally to provide a strong connection between product creation and our supply chain. We ensure that what we build reflects what we value. We translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable processes, enabling teams to make informed decisions that uphold product integrity and brand trust. Although the work is complex, it is essential for maintaining integrity and accountability. This role requires close collaboration with internal partners and external suppliers to ensure a robust, end‑to‑end compliance program that anticipates the future needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant industry experience in a consumer goods setting, working with compliance, or sustainability.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational skills, and agility in developing processes and protocol.
  • Ability to think strategically and balance the needs of multiple cross functional teams.
  • Effective communicator and highly collaborative with demonstrated effectiveness at building strong partnerships.
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with an unwavering commitment to doing what is right.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitoring global regulatory developments related to: Chemical management, Product safety requirements, Product markings, Packaging & waste, Circularity.
  • Tracking official publications, regulatory databases, standards bodies, and industry association updates to stay ahead of upcoming changes.
  • Reviewing new or updated legislation to determine how it affects Arc’teryx raw materials & finished goods and market access.
  • Preparing summaries, impact assessments, and clear actionable recommendations for Compliance specialists and other cross-functional partners.
  • Flagging regulations that may introduce new obligations, risks, or limitations for raw materials or product lines.
  • Assessing compliance gaps and escalating areas requiring further senior review or cross-functional alignment.
  • Supporting risk‑mitigation planning by helping develop practical pathways to compliance.
  • Assisting with drafting or updating internal regulatory guidelines, checklists, and reference resources.
  • Acting as a regulatory resource for Product Development, Materials Development, Sourcing, Quality, and Sustainability teams.
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain.
  • Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually).
  • Adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy.
  • Building a dynamic regulatory matrix outlook for all markets and FG product types including packaging.
  • Leading regulatory monitoring programs for high‑risk regions or product categories.
  • Owning regulatory impact assessments for emerging markets.
