About The Position

Anderson Power, a subsidiary of IDEAL Industries, Inc., is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to ensure their product lines meet strict worldwide environmental and chemical regulations. This role involves evaluating product portfolios, vetting global supply chains, and managing material declarations to comply with international environmental laws such as REACH, RoHS, PFAS, EU POPs, TSCA, and EU Deforestation. The specialist will track regulatory updates, audit Bill of Materials (BOMs), guide engineering for legal market access, collect and validate supplier declarations using platforms like Source Intelligence and IMDS, manage hazardous substance tracking and substitution programs, prepare SCIP dossiers, oversee Prop 65 warning labels, trace raw materials, and utilize ERP systems for reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Materials Science, or a related engineering field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs or supply chain compliance within manufacturing or heavily regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, environmental laws, and industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Deep understanding of global chemical directives and acts like RoHS, TSCA, and PFAS.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly.

  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or related discipline.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented compliance professional who can partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages relevant to key manufacturing regions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers and supply chain teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product design and sourcing decisions.
  • Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures in alignment with international trade laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations worldwide and communicate their impact to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, declarations and documentation to support customers’ regulatory compliance questionnaire activities.
  • Advise on compliance aspects of new product development and supply chain management to ensure regulatory adherence.
