About The Position

As our Regulatory Compliance Manager, you'll report to the operating unit General Counsel and is responsible for designing, executing and overseeing regulatory compliance for consumer insurance business. You'll liaise between the operating unit General Counsel, operating unit stakeholders (Product, IT, Operations, Actuarial, Claims) and state regulators to ensure the operating unit meets all applicable compliance and regulatory requirements. What you can expect: Culture of innovation, teamwork, supportive colleagues and leaders willing to invest in talent Internal mobility opportunities Visibility to senior leaders and partnership with cross functional teams Opportunity to impact change Benefits – competitive compensation, paid time off, comprehensive wellness benefits and programs, employer funded health savings account, profit sharing, 401k, paid parental leave, employee stock purchase plan, tuition assistance and professional continuing education We'll count on you for: Regulatory Compliance Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the consumer business compliance program, ensuring alignment with enterprise compliance policies and state regulatory obligations Serve as senior compliance advisor to business and functional leaders on regulatory requirements, risks and controls Regulatory Change Management Review new and amended laws, regulations and bulletins for applicability, summarizing and communication to stakeholders Work with stakeholders to effectuate timely execution of change Privacy, Data Security and Sanctions Screening Support and monitor privacy and data security compliance programs Oversee sanctions screening, perform risk assessments, perform clearing of potential matches Regulatory Examinations and Consumer Complaints Direct and manage operating unit response to market conduct examinations, other external audits, and consumer complaints Work with stakeholders to meet timelines, prepare complete responses, and execute remediation plans Support and act as SME for Agency Licensing and Appointments, Medicare Reporting and Data Calls Oversee and monitor the operating unit’s compliance as to Medicare Reporting, Agency License and Appointment and Data Calls Support the teams charged with performing the day-to-day work in those areas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7-12 years of state insurance regulation in highly regulated lines of business, consumer-facing compliance preferred
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives and build partnerships with Legal, Product, Operations, IT, and Corporate Compliance to operationalize regulatory requirements
  • Ability to synthesize complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in managing state insurance regulatory inquiries, consumer complaints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including regulator-facing correspondence and executive level communication and influence

Nice To Haves

  • Juris Doctor or Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required

Responsibilities
