About The Position

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of insurance products, policy forms, regulatory filings, and compliance processes to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. This role partners with Product Development, Underwriting, Operations, Technology, Legal, and other business areas to help deliver compliant, effective, and scalable insurance products and processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively across teams. Candidates with experience in insurance, compliance, auditing, legal, risk management, financial services, or other regulated industries are encouraged to apply. This position is based in Omaha, NE, with a hybrid work structure following training. A dedicated, distraction-free home workspace is required for remote work days. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant experience in insurance, compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, legal, financial services, risk management, business operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex information, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Property & Casualty insurance experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance policy forms, endorsements, coverages, underwriting, rates, rules, or regulatory filing processes.
  • Familiarity with insurance laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, regulatory examinations, or reporting activities.
  • Professional insurance designations or coursework such as CPCU, AU, AINS, IIA, or similar certifications.
  • Experience in legal, regulatory, compliance, governance, or risk management functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the review, maintenance, implementation, and testing of insurance policy forms, endorsements, applications, business documents, and policy issuance systems to ensure products are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in ensuring insurance products, business processes, operational practices, and regulatory filings comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Research and analyze legislative, regulatory, and industry changes to assess impacts on policy forms, coverages, underwriting guidelines, rates, rules, procedures, and operations.
  • Participate in regulatory filing activities, including preparing documentation, maintaining filing records, monitoring approvals, and supporting responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Partner with Product Development, Underwriting, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders to implement product enhancements, policy updates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support system development, testing, validation, and quality assurance efforts involving policy issuance, form attachment, business rules, compliance requirements, and product changes while identifying and resolving issues.
  • Participate in compliance reviews, audits, policy quality reviews, and operational assessments to ensure policies are issued accurately and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Maintain policy form inventories, filing records, business rules, coverage documentation, form templates, effective dates, and other compliance-related databases.
  • Gather, analyze, summarize, and report information supporting regulatory reporting, examinations, audits, compliance reviews, and business initiatives.
  • Assist with market conduct exams, regulatory inquiries, and other compliance reviews by coordinating information gathering and partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, process improvement opportunities, and compliance concerns while recommending practical, scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of compliance-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives supporting business growth, operational effectiveness, product development, and regulatory compliance goals.
  • Handle confidential business, customer, and regulatory information with professionalism and discretion.
