As a Regulatory and Compliance Sr Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting regulatory compliance activities for Westcoast Energy Inc. in British Columbia and other Enbridge-owned Canadian assets as required. You will work collaboratively with operations, leadership, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and provincial requirements while promoting continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of related regulatory compliance, pipeline operations, or regulatory affairs experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and provincial pipeline regulations, CSA Z662, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Experience communicating and building effective relationships with regulators, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to advise operational and business leaders on compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver training, and present recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
  • Experience in developing interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support regulatory compliance programs, processes, and initiatives to ensure adherence to federal and provincial pipeline regulations while minimizing regulatory risk.
  • Act as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, coordinating inspections, audits, information requests, and compliance-related communications.
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and subject matter expertise to operations, projects, business development initiatives, and special projects.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture by developing awareness programs, providing training, and supporting leadership and frontline employees in meeting regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate and manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, including tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support incident reporting requirements, investigations, and emergency response activities, including participation in the Incident Command System as needed.
  • Prepare compliance reports, maintain regulatory documentation, and support internal assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
