At Regions, the Regulatory Analyst focuses on monitoring, researching, managing, and implementing responses to all regulatory changes at both the federal and state level that affect Regions lines of business. This role is required to draft reporting related to regulatory changes and emerging risks which may be distributed throughout the lines of business or the enterprise. This role also helps develop and update compliance training, and maintains reporting related to the completion of that training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in a financial or regulatory environment
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Ability to work under limited guidance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Nice To Haves

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Legal writing experience a plus
  • Knowledge of various bank systems

Responsibilities

  • Monitors regulatory changes and assesses the changes’ impact to the lines of business
  • Assembles cross functional teams as needed in order to document the relevant regulatory changes’ impact to Regions line of business
  • Drafts and distributes line of business or enterprise-wide reporting related to regulatory changes and emerging risks
  • Prepares, schedules, and administers compliance related presentations and/or conference calls regarding emerging risks and other current regulatory trends
  • Maintains databases of information related to these regulatory changes
  • Participates in compliance-related communication strategies, including but not limited to: intranet compliance and regulatory communications, compliance training materials and messaging, and reporting to various committees
  • Manages and oversees the compliance training program for Regions which may include: developing and updating as necessary applicable compliance MAC courses, maintaining and reporting from the Regulatory and Compliance Risk CERTS process, and developing materials and conducting compliance-related training to the 1st lines of defense
  • May plan, organize and manage periodic Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management Symposiums
