About The Position

Dominion Energy's regulatory department is seeking a mid-level Regulatory Analyst to support the development of rate design and pricing for cost recovery. This role ensures the timely filing of rate applications and compliance documents. The analyst will prepare regulatory filings, tariffs, work papers, documentation, analyses, and discovery responses. They will also assist in the implementation of approved rates, determination of appropriate accounting, and support pricing studies through competitive analyses, cost allocation studies, and other technical analyses. The position involves monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes, providing information to ensure compliance with regulatory commission directives, and gathering supporting information for regulators, counsel, and consultants. Additionally, the role supports the preparation of expert testimony and ensures tariffs conform to regulatory requirements. The analyst may also assist with analyses of regulatory earnings and revenue requirements to support rate adjustment clauses.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in state and/or federal regulatory and rate setting process, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial concepts, GAAP practices, analytical techniques, and regulatory issues.
  • Effective analytical, computer, problem assessment and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend courses of action in response to inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of rate design and pricing for cost recovery.
