About The Position

Capital One’s Regulatory Affairs function is responsible for managing all interactions with Federal Banking Regulators. We provide key advisory consulting to senior management on supervision and emerging regulatory trends, while championing risk management thought leadership. The Reporting, Operations, and Analytics (ROA) team supports this mission by driving operational excellence and providing comprehensive enablement for our Regulatory Affairs liaisons. We are seeking an associate to play a pivotal role in ensuring Capital One proactively responds to the evolving regulatory landscape and meets commitments to regulators in a timely manner. In this role, you will partner with our Regulatory Affairs liaisons providing essential operational support, data-driven insights, and process improvements that drive successful engagement outcomes. This position offers direct engagement with federal regulators and internal leadership, providing a strong platform for professional growth within our regulatory affairs and risk management organizations.

  • At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Process Management

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of Compliance, Legal, Regulatory or Operations experience
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external business clients
  • At least 2 years of experience using Tableau, SQL, or other analytics tools
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate seamless examiner onboarding by managing end-to-end logistics for examination readiness (e.g., application provisioning and access, coordinating facility access)
  • Drive process excellence by identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities within the Regulatory Affairs team
  • Govern facility logistics and maintenance for large-scale on-site examiner teams across multiple sites, ensuring operational readiness
  • Manage critical correspondence and document flow between the Company and regulatory agencies, utilizing secure portals to maintain data integrity and compliance
  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle of regulatory data collection and management, enabling actionable business insights and a proactive approach to regulatory matters
  • Champion operational efficiency by designing and deploying AI-driven tools that automate manual workflows and streamline regulatory processes
