About The Position

Groupe Marcelle, a leader in the cosmetics industry, is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator for a permanent full-time position in Montreal, Quebec. This role reports to the Director, Product Management and is crucial for ensuring the regulatory compliance and market readiness of cosmetic products in Canada and internationally. The coordinator will support regulatory activities throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and external partners. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an emerging regulatory affairs professional to gain specialized expertise in the cosmetics industry and contribute to the development and commercialization of innovative products. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with up to 2 years of relevant experience in Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Product Development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive and driven by a continuous improvement mindset.
  • An effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or natural health product industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review product information and documentation to support compliance with applicable cosmetic regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain ingredient lists, INCI declarations, allergen statements, and other regulatory documentation.
  • Support the review and approval of product artwork and packaging claims to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with cosmetic product notifications and registrations in Canada and international markets.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of Product Information Files (PIF/DIP) and other regulatory dossiers.
  • Provide regulatory support to R&D and Marketing teams throughout the product development process.
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and contribute regulatory guidance to new product launches.
  • Respond to internal regulatory inquiries.
  • Maintain regulatory databases and product information records.
  • Support the creation, updating, and continuous improvement of regulatory procedures and documentation.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving regulatory processes and systems.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting the cosmetics industry.
  • Assist in assessing the impact of new regulations and implementing required changes.
  • Contribute to regulatory training and awareness initiatives across the organization.
