About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regulators Winder - 1st Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Must be able to work from quality and production standards and computerized winding sheets/prints to interpret coil specifications accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
  • Must adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outline below: Hands/Arm Gloves, Over the Elbow sleeves, Eye/Face: Safety Glasses, Ear: Ear Plugs, Foot: Steel Toe, Metatarsal Guards

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks across Main, PT, and Reactor winding machines.
  • Identify coil part numbers and quantities from the schedule/work order ticket, retrieve necessary small parts, and input part numbers on the computer-controlled coil winding machine during set up.
  • Accurately interpret winding specifications.
  • Set up machine following specifications on the setup screen, including mandrel size, duct parts, insulation tape, paper size/thickness, wire/bar size, part number, and alignment of materials.
  • Install and adjust devices on the machine to meet window sizing specification, load strip, conductor, and insulation paper onto dereeling mechanisms.
  • Measure materials, make adjustment, and verify alignment.
  • Place and adjust coil form according to specifications.
  • Activate the machine to feed materials and follow instructions on the run screen for various functions, winding coils at the specified rate per hour.
  • Label coils with ID number, work order number, part number, and machine number.
  • Utilize measuring devices including but not limited to hydraulic tools, hand tools, brazing, soldering, pliers, scissors, rubber hammer, ratchet, wrenches, and bending tools.
  • Apply pack out as needed per specification, repeated on each section of the coil.
  • Fold, insulate, and tape-weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of coil body.
  • Operate a crimping tool to crimp wire to static shielding.
  • Perform proper ratio testing per design specification.
  • Perform rework on damaged or defective coils to ensure quality standards.
  • Conduct minor adjustments and routine upkeep of winding machines.
  • Weigh and log scrap metal in the database and follow proper disposal protocols.
  • Oversee and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols to guarantee the safe deactivation and isolation of equipment, ensuring energy control procedures are correctly applied to prevent inadvertent machine startup or hazardous energy discharge during repair or maintenance, in line with OSHA regulations and organizational safety guidelines.
  • Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
  • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
