About The Position

This course, Peinture et contexte I: Observation et méthode / Painting and Context I: Observation and Process (ART2915A), will be offered in person during the Fall 2026 semester. The course focuses on painting as direct observation, translating the experience of the human figure as object and subject, and transposing other observed forms, including still life, into painting. It also aims to develop awareness of perceptual issues and expressive possibilities in painting. Applicants are reminded to ensure all prior experience and relevant credentials are reflected in their CV and to provide a visual record of recent works electronically.

Requirements

  • Master of Fine Arts or equivalent.
  • Established reputation and exhibition record in painting and contemporary art.
  • Teaching experience at post-secondary level.
  • Ensure ALL prior experience and relevant credentials are reflected in the CV.
  • Provide a visual record of recent works.
