About The Position

This is a part-time professor position for the course HSS6507: Advanced Methods for Technologies and Innovation in Health Research, offered during the 2027 Winter Semester at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The course focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of health technologies, including ethical considerations, cost-effectiveness, and patient engagement. It examines research methods such as randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and qualitative approaches to assess health technology-related experiences. Practical experience in analyzing and interpreting health technology datasets is emphasized, focusing on critical evaluation and data-driven perspectives in advancing health sciences. The course is delivered in a hybrid format with a minimum of 75% in-person instruction.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctorate in health sciences, health technology assessment, digital health, or a related field, or be currently enrolled in a doctorate in a relevant field and have completed doctoral coursework.
  • Possess university teaching experience or teaching assistant experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • Demonstrate recent and significant involvement in research or other scholarly activities relevant to the course, evidenced by publications, scholarly communications, participation in funded research projects, scientific communication activities, knowledge mobilization, or other relevant scholarly contributions.
  • Possess demonstrated expertise in the development, evaluation, or implementation of health technologies or innovations in health research.
  • Possess experience in applying research methods and data analysis relevant to health technologies, innovation, and critical evaluation of evidence in health research.
