About The Position

This role is for a Business Specialist within Registry Services. The ideal candidate is naturally warm, friendly, and possesses excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone. They should be adept at asking the right questions to assess member and business client needs and determine the best AMA Registry product solutions. The role requires a focus on providing excellent customer service, expanding revenue through skilled sales techniques, and achieving member satisfaction. A commitment to lifelong learning and obtaining certifications is also important. The position involves actively engaging with people, winning them over, and driving sales.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in sales, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet sales targets.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Updated Police Information Check (PIC).
  • Awesome attitude and genuine desire to help people.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary education.
  • Re-certification assistance available for General registry skills certification (Basic).
  • Re-certification assistance available for Corporate Registry Certifications – 1 and 2 (CORES 3 would be considered a strong asset).
  • Commissioner for Oaths (considered an asset).
  • Marriage License Commissioner.
  • AHW certification.
  • Experience with AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Support AMA's strategies and plans by providing direction to increase and enhance member satisfaction, sales, and revenue growth.
  • Ensure policy and procedures are followed to protect members and the Association.
  • Provide expert sales and service delivery to all members and customers.
  • Proactively develop and maintain effective customer and member relationships, including representatives and owners of Business Accounts.
  • Pursue and develop new Business Account acquisition opportunities with Fleet and Corporate business customers.
  • Understand and display advanced knowledge of AMA membership and benefits.
  • Assess individual member, customer, or Business Account customer needs and provide expert advice consistently and accurately.
  • Provide options and recommendations to enhance overall member, customer, or Business Account customer Registries experience.
  • Meet/exceed sales and revenue budgets.
  • Understand AMA’s role as agents of the Government of Alberta and support AMA’s relationship with the Government as it pertains to the provision of Registry services.
