Registration Specialist- Therapy

Bone and Joint, a healthcare organization with multiple locations in Central Wisconsin, is seeking a Registration Specialist for their Therapy department. The organization's mission is to be the best place for patients to receive care, employees to work, and physicians to practice medicine. The Registration Specialist will work at the front desk, performing a variety of tasks including customer service, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient interactions. The company provides excellent training for new hires.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Patience, kindness, and the ability to work with people at all levels (internal and external) combined with compassion for our Patients.
- Ability to work in conjunction with staff in a supportive way to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Possess strong customer service skills/interpersonal interactions; ability to handle difficult and angry people constructively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, persuasion, relationship building, resolving conflict and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Engage with and talk to patients over the phone or in person.
- Answer patient questions.
- Schedule and check patients in for appointments.
- Verify insurance information.
- Work closely with therapists to ensure proper scheduling.
