About The Position

The employee will register the patient into the hospital computer system, obtaining all pertinent demographic and financial information accurately. The employee will also complete any paperwork associated with the registration process obtaining patient signatures on the consent, Notice of Privacy Practice acknowledgement and Your Rights as a Patient acknowledgement. The employee will also complete any telephone duties associated with the registration process. He/she will assemble the clinical chart, perform a variety of duties related to reception of patients/visitors, communication with the unit and medical staff, and staff of other departments; and general clerical and medical record responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Meditech/Network/SCE/Standard Register.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to effectively follow all policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year experience in the medical field preferred.
