About The Position

North Vancouver Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves working at the top of the RVT scope 80% of the time, with the remaining 20% dedicated to management and operational leadership of the Veterinary Team. This is an opportunity to shape culture, inspire others, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a natural leader ready to take on more responsibility. The RVT will build positive client relationships through genuine care and compassion, respect, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting Veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, utilizing diagnostic equipment, preparing patients and equipment for surgery, and administering/monitoring medicines under veterinary direction. The role also involves managing inventory, budgets, and financial aspects of the practice.

Requirements

  • Passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE
  • In good standing with the provincial regulatory association
  • Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
  • Background in leadership and management

Responsibilities
