About The Position
Canmore Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Technologist or registration-eligible candidate to join their collaborative small animal practice in Canmore, Alberta. RVTs play an essential role, utilizing their technical skills daily in areas such as anesthesia, surgery, rehabilitation therapy, diagnostics, client education, nutrition, or emergency care. The hospital offers a wide variety of services including preventative medicine, orthopedic surgeries, diagnostics, therapeutic laser, rehabilitation therapy, dentistry, nutrition and behavioural counselling, boarding, and emergency care.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technologist or registration-eligible candidate
- Animal Health Technologist / Veterinary Technologist Diploma
- Passed the VTNE
- Good standing with the provincial regulatory association
- Passion for gold-standard patient care
- Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
- Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
- Confidence, initiative, and willingness to continue learning
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical skills daily in areas such as anesthesia, surgery, rehabilitation therapy, diagnostics, client education, nutrition, or emergency care.
- Work alongside an experienced and supportive team.
- Expand technical and clinical skills.
- Provide patient care and client communication.
- Help clients understand recommendations and care plans for their pets.
