About The Position

Beaumont Animal Hospital, located in Beaumont, California, is a full-service small-animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for dogs and cats. The hospital offers comprehensive veterinary services including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, advanced surgery, pain management, and behavioral counseling. With an experienced and caring team and a focus on individualized patient care, Beaumont Animal Hospital is committed to helping pets stay healthy and comfortable throughout every stage of life. We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and confident providing high-quality patient care in a busy general practice setting. This position works closely with Veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventative care.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) required – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care and treatment for hospitalized and outpatient patients
  • Obtain and record patient histories, weights, and vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and surgery
  • Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Collect and process laboratory samples
  • Perform and assist with diagnostic procedures, including radiographs
  • Monitor patients under anesthesia and provide appropriate recovery care
  • Assist with surgical and dental procedures
  • Provide post-operative monitoring and patient care
  • Educate clients on medications, treatments, and home-care instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment and surgical areas
  • Properly clean, maintain, and stock equipment and supplies
  • Communicate patient updates and concerns to the veterinary team
  • Support the overall clinical team as needed
