About The Position
This is an overnight, part-time Registered Veterinary Technician position focusing on providing exceptional care to post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase. The role involves monitoring patient vitals, documenting critical neurological conditions, performing venipuncture and IV catheter placement, and administering medications. There are also opportunities for cross-training in advanced imaging, including MRI scans.
Requirements
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (or currently enrolled in an accredited RVT/LVT program).
- At least 2 years of experience as an RVT (or 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant).
- Eager to learn, adapt, and work independently during overnight hours.
- A strong foundation in veterinary technical skills and a great attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EzyVet.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality medical and post-operative nursing care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient vitals and critical neurological conditions overnight.
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Drug calculations and medication administration (including IV).
- Cross-training opportunities with the advanced imaging department (including MRI scans).
