About The Position

Maplewood Veterinary Center is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with examinations, surgery, anesthesia, patient recovery, and technical procedures, while helping maintain accurate records and a clean, safe clinical environment. The hospital is expanding, including additional space for physical therapy and a surgical center, and is growing its team. The schedule is four days per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break and no weekend hours. The salary is $21–$25 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications, and the position includes a sign-on bonus. Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is required.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
