About The Position

The Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley (AECFV) is seeking a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. AECFV has been providing emergency and critical care since 1996 and is an AAHA-accredited animal hospital. The facility operates 24/7 and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools. They are partnered with Ethos Veterinary Health, a network of specialty and emergency hospitals, providing organizational support while maintaining a family-founded culture. The clinic emphasizes a strong sense of community and mutual support among its team members, including veterinarians, RVTs, and veterinary assistants.

Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, coach, and support Veterinary Technicians to encourage professional growth, confidence, and clinical excellence
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment
  • Partner with hospital leadership to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes
  • Support team members during complex, critical, and high-stress cases
  • Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives for Veterinary Technicians
  • Contribute to scheduling support and team performance initiatives
  • Serve as a clinical role model by demonstrating advanced technical skills and patient advocacy
  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients to ensure seamless patient care
