About The Position

Wellington Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position at a mixed veterinary practice in Wellington, Ohio, treating dogs, cats, horses, small ruminants, and large ruminants. The clinic handles a diverse range of cases, including preventive care, complex medical cases, routine and advanced surgeries, and dentistry. The ideal candidate will be eager to utilize their skills daily, confident in surgery, and committed to continuous learning and growth. Requirements

Current RVT License
Strong understanding of pharmacology and medication administration
Excellent patient handling skills, with a focus on Fear Free techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for veterinary medicine
Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff

Responsibilities

Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
Attentive induction, monitoring, and recovery of surgical patients
Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement and intubation
Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in-house lab work
Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
