Registered Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Animal Dental Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including oral surgery and dentistry. This is a versatile, client-focused technician role that thrives in a dynamic general practice environment, balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. The clinic values credentialed technicians for their clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills across all areas of the hospital. Technicians play an important role in delivering high-quality dental and overall patient care, from routine dental cleanings and dental radiography to anesthesia monitoring and assisting with oral procedures. Team members are encouraged to grow their skills, contribute to a collaborative practice, and help elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. In this position, the RVT will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Colorado
- Proficiency in anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Proficiency in venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Proficiency in medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Proficiency in laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Proficiency in accurate medical record documentation
- Proficiency in safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Proficiency in client education and communication
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
- Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Assisting in oral surgery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
