About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for Eldorado Animal Clinic in Santa Fe, NM. This role is for a community-minded small animal practice that values credentialed technicians as clinical drivers of patient care. The clinic is dedicated to staying current with advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness, and is equipped with top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, including in-house ultrasound. The RVT will be encouraged to work at the top of their license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset, following AAHA utilization guidance.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid New Mexico Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
- Compassionate, motivated Registered Veterinary Technician.

Responsibilities
- Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
- Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
- Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
- Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
- Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
