About The Position

American Animal Hospital is a well-established small-animal practice in the Mira Mesa community of San Diego that has served the area since 1986. The hospital provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and pharmacy services. The hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, solid surgery and anesthesia skills, and an interest in dentistry or learning more about it. Compensation is $26–$33 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician; the ideal candidate has at least three years of experience.
• Veterinary Technician certification is required.
• Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Experience and confidence in surgery and general anesthesia.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Open schedule availability.
