Registered Veterinary Technician: Versa
About The Position
VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team as a Versa Technician in their Emergency and Specialty Services. As a Versa Technician, you will support Specialty and Emergency services, master advanced diagnostic testing, and apply state-of-the-art techniques in patient care. Responsibilities include collecting patient histories, performing physical exams, venipuncture/IVC placement, conducting laboratory work and diagnostic imaging, assisting in internal medicine, neurology, or emergency services, and monitoring anesthesia. The position offers a full-time schedule with 4 x 10s, including some weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at a 24/7 hub of innovation and expertise.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT)
- Advanced Technical Skills (i.e. central lines, advanced diagnostic imaging, arterial BP monitoring/sampling)
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Support Specialty and Emergency services
- Master advanced diagnostic testing
- Apply state-of-the-art techniques in patient care
