About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for Eldorado Animal Clinic in Santa Fe, NM. This role is designed for RVTs who want to practice at the top of their license in a community-minded small animal practice that values credentialed technicians as clinical drivers of patient care. Requirements
- Must hold a valid New Mexico Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
- Compassionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician.
- Willingness to work at the top of your license.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset, following AAHA utilization guidance.
- Utilize skills in anesthesia and analgesia, including full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
- Perform dentistry procedures such as full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
- Conduct diagnostic procedures including high-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
- Manage nursing and triage, including critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
- Provide workflow leadership by leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
- Participate in a predictable weekend rotation.
