Registered Veterinary Technician
About The Position
VCA Wyoming Animal Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join its team of veterinary professionals. The hospital provides compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats of all ages, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, and treatment and management of illnesses and injuries. The team emphasizes collaborative care and a high-quality, low-stress environment for patients and their families, while supporting one another through rewarding and emotionally challenging cases. The technician works with doctors to manage cases and help diagnose and treat pets. The role includes nursing care, client communication and education, and assisting with surgery and dentistry, as well as running and monitoring anesthetic procedures. The position is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours, at the hospital’s Albuquerque location. The stated pay range is $19–$23 per hour.
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and radiology.
- Enjoy client communication and education.
- Comfort with running and monitoring anesthetic procedures.
- Ability to take quality case histories and provide caring nursing care.
