About The Position

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team as a Versa Technician in their bustling Emergency and Specialty Services. This role involves supporting Specialty and Emergency services, diving into the intricacies of body systems and disease processes, mastering advanced diagnostic testing, and applying state-of-the-art techniques in patient care. The VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is a 24/7 hub of innovation and expertise, where a collaborative team of specialists operates on the frontiers of veterinary medicine, utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and therapeutic techniques to deliver the highest standard of care. The position offers a full-time schedule with 4 x 10s, including some weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT)
  • Advanced Technical Skills (i.e. central lines, advanced diagnostic imaging, arterial BP monitoring/sampling)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support Specialty and Emergency services
  • Dive into the intricacies of body systems and disease processes
  • Master advanced diagnostic testing
  • Apply state-of-the-art techniques in patient care
  • Collect patient histories
  • Perform physical exams
  • Expertly handle venipuncture/IVC placement
  • Conduct laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
  • Assist in internal medicine, neurology, or emergency services
  • Vigilantly monitor anesthesia
